Honoring the artist Peggy Rose Wall Art

Peggy (my mother, best friend, and my first art teacher) transitioned October 1, 2022. Mum would have wanted her art to accompany mine even though she was too modest to say so. Peggy was quite critical of herself and never thought her painting "measured up". I place them here on my website for you to see that she was indeed a talented artist in her own right. I’ll greatly miss painting with her, as she constantly inspired me to spread my artistic wings as wide as possible. Peggy Rose, a longtime Riverside resident, born in the late thirties and lived most of her early life in a small seaside town on the Southeast Coast of England, one of which, sent boats to Dunkirk, in the world’s largest armada during to rescue thousands of WWII allied soldiers, including her own father. Peggy had a deep desire to attend art college but her father considered that an unwise career choice and steered her to business college. The desire to create art could not be extinguished, and finally in 2006 Peggy enrolled in several art classes at Riverside Community College. She did extremely well and loved learning and creating, especially in the company of her much younger classmates.
