Artist's Description

My favorite mode of transportation is a leap of faith, my second is a train. I'm a new artist and the station ceiling was especially challenging, but my determination to draw my favorite places kicked in.

In 2017, only a few years after I started to draw and paint, I created a set of four images to commemorate our H.S. reunion. This is one of the four.

Tracy Hutchinson, veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, took up drawing and painting in 2013 to spend more time with her artist-mother. One of Tracy’s most passionate pastimes has been traveling and trekking the globe; as a Pelegrina (pilgrim) she walked the Camino de Santiago, and to Peru to trek the Inca Trail, and in 2017 she traveled to 11 countries and 20 cities to explore the Art of Europa and WWII history. Tracy has long since enjoyed writing about her life and adventures, now she captures them in her paintings and drawings. In May 2021, Tracy was the featured artist of the California Art Club (Inland Empire Chapter) and her art was highlighted during Mental Health Month by San Bernardino Behavioral Health.
