About Tracy Hutchinson
Tracy Hutchinson, former U.S. Marine, who took up painting in 2013 to spend more time with her artist mother. Tracy is also an avid traveller; Greece, Turkey, Italy, Nepal, India, France, Spain as a pilgrim of the Camino de Santiago, and Peru to trek the Inca Trail. In 2017 she traveled to 11 countries and 20 cities to explore the art of Europa and WWII history. Tracy has been working on a book for some time, although now an artist; she records scenery and her experiences in a sketchbook and watercolor journals.
Tracy is from a family with a long military history, her grandfather was on ship with Lawrence of Arabia, know only as Airman Shaw at the time. The children of military families are known as Military B.R.A.T.s (Bold, Responsible, Adaptable, & Tolerant), and they’ve adopted the dandelion because its seeds, once blown, travel far and wide just like them. This is one of her favorite subjects to paint.
Tracy was California Arts Club (IE Chapter) featured artist of May 2021, and her art was highlighted during Mental Health Month by San Bernardino Behavioral Health. She is also associated with The Veterans Art Project. https://www.vetart.org
